A glass wine was born,it was a friend of wine: designed to support and enhance all the goodness of a specific variety of grapes with which that wine was made. They are made of lead crystal, with manual processing and mouth blowing in Austria.
Riedel, the prestigious Austrian glassware company, world leader in wine goblet design, is based in Kufstein, Austria and is driven by the Riedel family: Georg, his wife Eva and their children Maximilian and Letitia.Georg’s father, Claus J.Riedel, was the first designer to guess that the bouquet, taste and balance of a wine are influenced by the shape of the glass and was the first, in the long history of glass, to draw shapes of different glasses, suitable for the different characteristics of wines, combining technique and hedonism.
